on time ตรงเวลาดป๊ะ คือถ้าเรามีนัดหรือใครนัดเรา เรามาตรงเวลาเป๊ะ หรือก่อนไม่กี่นาที เช่น We'll meet each other at 10.00 morning. (You come to meet her/him at 10.00) เราจะพบกันและกันตอน สิบโมงเช้านะ (แล้วเราก้ไปตามนั้นเป๊ะ) in time เป็นการตรงเวลาอีกเหมือนกัน แต่ยังเหลือเวลาให้เราทำอะไรอยู่ (ไปก่อนเวลานั่นเอง) เช่น My class is 09.00 a.m. but I arrive there at 08.30. ฉันมีเรียนตอน 9 โมงเช้า แต่ฉันไปถึงที่นั่น 08.30 (ยังไม่สายไปก่อน ทำให้ตรงเวลาแน่นอน เพราะไปถึงก่อน (before) on time ตรงเวลาเป๊ะ in time ไปก่อนเวลานิดหน่อยหรือมาก เพื่อรอให้ถึงกำหนดเพื่อที่จะได้ไม่ไปสาย

ภาษาอังกฤษนั้นมีลักษณะพิเศษอยู่อย่างหนึ่งนะขอรับ คือ เรื่องการ ออกเสียงตัวสะกด ซึ่งจำเป็นต้องออกเสียงตัวสะกดท้ายคำ ให้ถูกต้องด้วยและถือว่าเป็นสิ่งสำคัญมาก เวลาอ่านหรือพูด ต้องออกเสียงตัวสะกดให้ถูกต้อง มิฉะนั้นฝรั่งจะฟังไม่รู้เรื่องหรือไม่เข้าใจว่าที่เราพูดหมายถึงอะไร ดังนั้นจึงได้นำตัวอย่างมาแสดงให้ดูพอสังเขป ดังต่อไปนี้ขอรับ 1.เมื่อ d อยู่ท้ายคำให้ออกเสียงเป็น ดึ เบาๆ ในลำคอ เช่น land แลนดึ แผ่นดิน ที่ดินเพาะปลูก hand แฮนดึ มือ sand แวนดึ ทราย kind ไคนดึ ใจดี 2.เมื่อ t อยู่ท้ายคำให้ออกเสียงเป็น ทึ เบาๆ ในลำคอเช่น went เวนทึ ไปแล้ว wait เวททึ คอย left เลฟทึ ออกไป ทิ้ง gift กิฟทึ พรสวรรค์ 3.เมื่อ k อยู่ท้ายคำให้ออกเสียงเป็น คึ เบาๆ ในลำคอ เช่น bank แบ๊งคึ ธนาคาร thank แธงคึ ขอบคุณ rank แรงคึ ยศ ลำดับ tank แทงคึ ถัง, รถถัง บ่อกักน้ำ 4.เมื่อ s, se หรือ x อยู่ท้ายคำให้ออกเสียงเป็น สึ ให้ชัดเจนและเร็วที่สุด เช่น class คลาสสึ ชั้นเรียน whose ฮูสสึ ของใคร box บ๊อกสึ กล่อง case เคสสึ เรื่อง กรณี 5.เมื่อท้ายคำลงท้ายด้วย ses ให้ออกเสียงเป็น เซ้ส หรือ ซิ้ส เช่น classe
